What Is Fidi?
There is a strict criteria for companies who want to become member. Some associations (and their numbers are growing) have decided that new members will have to demonstrate their commitment to quality by being certified under the FIDI quality assurance programme.
There are over 730 moving companies around the world which are affiliated to FIDI. It is a requirement by FIDI that every member receiving a shipment from another FIDI agent, should treat it as if it were one of its own. FIDI has spent over fifty years installing a culture of care into its membership and monitors this closely.
The aim is to ensure that when you ship from one country to another, the FIDI agent at both origin and destination take care of your shipment at the same high standard - this is the agent-to-agent system where two companies combine to give you the best service possible
Through their affiliation to FIDI, member
companies have trained and qualified staff, a wide experience of overseas moving and a detailed knowledge about the practical aspects of living and working abroad. As specialists in the movement of household goods, they understand how to prepare furniture for shipping to a foreign climate, how to dismantle a barometer, how to pack a painting with a delicate frame or how to make sure the family pet arrives in its new country safe and sound.
